Last year my fiancé and I made a cute little flash game called Easter Dreaming, featuring a little bunny who's collecting Easter Eggs. It was our prototype so it's not the best game or anything, but it's still very cute if you're looking for a little pastel Easter fun. Try it out here.

My Latest Illustration Work
This is part of our latest collection at work. The character design, all her clothes, hair, accessories etc. was made by me. This is one of my favorites as she reminds me of being an 80s child, which is something I loved.

I'm a busy bee...
I'm busy with work at the moment, therefore no recent posts. I have to work ahead as I need time off to get my hair done next week. At the moment I'm making graphics for our upcoming collections so that's fun and varied. I'm also making our first newsletter. Here's a little princess outfit for our Medieval theme.

First time on TV!
So those of you who know me might remember that I work for a Danish online game called MoviestarPlanet. I'm the art director and game designer, and I'm responsible for the graphics and content as well as coming up with new ideas. A couple of days ago we launched our first TV commercial! This is the first time my illustrations and graphics have been on TV which I think is pretty cool. The commercial runs on Cartoon Network in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and the motion graphics have been made by a UK agency that I don't know the name of. But anyway, I'm pretty proud that our game has made it this far and is branching out in the rest of Scandinavia, and I just wanted to share this news.

Robot Unicorn Attack
Lately I've been playing this awesome little online game called Robot Unicorn Attack by Adult Swim Games. It's like an 80s cartoon world with magic rainbow fairies, white rainbowmained unicorn, huge glass stars and a wonderful theme song by Erasure. It's simply fantastic and every time I play it I feel like I've been transported back to my childhood when Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony and the Care Bears were my everyday TV cocktail. If you're an 80s kid like me, or just like fun and challenging online games, then you should really try this one out.

Art of BioShock 2
I'm in no way a serious gamer though I've been playing computer games since my very first Olivetti PC in the early 90s. I used to play crazy and wonderful DOS games and early CD ROM games such as Hook, the Kings Quest series, The Kyrandia, series, as well as some of the freakier Sierra games such as Shivers and Phantasmagoria. I took a break from gaming until I got my first laptop and then continued with American McGee's Alice. I then started dating my boyfriend and he introduced me to the wonderful World of Warcraft and I got totally hooked. Finally I realized that it was a major time consumer and stopped playing. I then started playing cute little online games such as Pet Society but ultimately stopped that too. I work with online games on a daily basis but still that doesn't make me a serious gamer.
It was random that I came across the BioShock 2 trailer and I was instantly mesmerized. The design is fantastic, the characters seem so weird and sinister and it just looks like a game that I'd love. I really appreciate good game- and character design and this game looks like it might fall into that category. I've been scouring the web for pictures to share with you so you'll be able to appreciate the wonder that is BioShock 2. I know absolutely nothing about the story or it's prequel so this post is not a game review but just me suggesting you take a look at the freaky BioShock 2 website or even watch the trailer below. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Costume Design
A Danish holiday called Fastelavn is coming up. It's kinda like Halloween, only less spooky. Kids dress up in all kinds of costumes and eat special baked goods called Fastelavnsboller. It's like rolls filled with cream. So naturally I'm making new costumes for the game I work on. I'm nowhere near done but it's a lot of fun to do something other than regular fashion. Here are some examples:

008 - Party Girl
This is some of my actual work. I'm designing some clothes for the VIPs on the online game I work for. I'm going for the whole punk-trashy-life trend and so far the girls seem to love it. Personally I'd love to have hair like this!

Finishing Multimedia Design school 2006
I had been a student for two years now at the Multimedia Design school in Copenhagen and was finally finishing. I had learned a lot about media design and had decided that I wanted to fullfill my dream of becoming a graphic designer and illustrator. Throughout my time at the school I worked with all kinds of projects and programs and got a better understanding of how everything worked. My work was very crude but it's fun to look back on.
My first attempt at webdesign.
A later attemt at webdesign.
Our second year we got an assigment to design an online game for girls. This was the first time I tried vector graphics, photo realism, illustration and character design. I loved it! And I seemed to be fairly good at it as well. Our game was voted the best game of our class which was very cool. Afterwards our project advisor hired me to work on a real online game for girls called Powerbabe and I ended up working there for four years and eventually becoming the editior as well as designer. Here's some examples of my work for the first game prototype.
Vector changing room made in Flash
As our final project on our second year we decided to continue working on the game concept though we had to start over. It was a lot of fun and we got the equivalent of an A so we vere very happy with it.

My work
I’ve been very busy working lately. Here’s what my in-game character looks like at the moment. Made all the clothes and stuff myself. It’s part of what I do. I’m also the editor and I love it. I’ve also added some miscellaneous pics of some game characters. I love trying to figure out what the kids like and will be most excited about having in the game. I try to make as many different designs as possible and I've come to know so much more about fashion than I ever imagined. I've been working with online games and fashion since 2005 and I just can't seem to shake it. It just sticks with me - thankfully.
