I remember the first time I came across Junk Food Tees. It was at a Sci Fi convention and they had brought the most geeky shirts they could find. I fell head over heels for the My Little Pony ones and today I have compiled a list of my favorites from their current collection. These are so rad and gives a bit of edge to late summer outfits.

Funny Little Bunnies
It's Easter here in Denmark so I thought I'd share something in the spirit of Easter that I really loved as a kid. It's a very cute Disney Silly Symphony. I know it all by heart as I've seen it so many times. I loved the Silly Symphonies and my mom used to tape them for me to watch over and over again. This was one of my favorites and I hope you'll enjoy it!

Fun retro illustrations by Scott Burroughs
I love the work of Colorado based illustrator Scott Burroughs. He has worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation and now works as an illustrator. His art is so fun and colorful and I see lots of 50s and 60s influences. He seems to be especially fond of robots, movies, vintage commercials and sci-fi and I love that. Scott has a wonderful portfolio site full of fun characters and drawings, as well as a cool blog where you can see all his recent work as well as some of his process sketches. Some of his pieces really remind me of I Dream of Jeannie and I'm instantly transported back to my childhood when my mom used to watch the show with me. I hope you'll enjoy Scott's quirky illustrations as much as I do.

Shag and the Haunted Mansion
My all-time favorite ride is Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris. It’s been my favorite since I went on it as an 8-year old girl in 1992 when the European park opened. I’ve never been to any of the US parks but by the looks of it Disneyland Park's Haunted Mansion is very similar to the French Phantom Manor.
Believe it or not but Haunted Mansion is celebrating it’s 40-year anniversary and one of my absolute favorite artists, Shag, has created a series of prints and merchandise to celebrate the event. This can’t be bought online unless you hunt it down at insane prices on eBay, so you'll have to make due with low-res pictures.

The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark 2006
Since I was 15 I've only wanted to go to one school and that is The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark. Back when I was in the eighth grade I got an internship at Disney's Danish department. My advisor told me that the best education I could possibly get in Denmark if I wanted to be a designer or be in advertising, was at that school. So for years I kept the school's name on a note in my drawer, waiting to be old enough to apply. In 2006 it was finally time and I was scared to death. Only 30 people get in every year so my chances were slim. There was an extensive admission test where you had to create a poster, do an ad campaign and show your versatility by designing numerous illustrations based on an apple. I was sure I wouldn't get in and I was a wreck all three days the test lasted. I'd have to wait for months to get the result so when I finally got my admissions letter I was extatic. I got in! I couldn't believe it! And to this day I'm still so thankful for pulling through. My boyfriend was also very supportive and helpful.
We had to make everything out of paper and computers weren't allowed which made it that much more difficult. Here's the work I did for the admission test:
