Inspirational Indian Interiors

I'm totally smitten with these fantastic interiors from a home in India. I love the satuated colors, painted ceiling, bold prints and textures as well as all the little details everywhere. I love finding pictures of inspiring homes like this one. I'm sort of a home decor nut myself and try to keep things simple and clean without being boring. This will definitely be added to my inspiration folder.

Wonderful Copenhagen: Akimbo

Today I have another Copenhagen hidden gem for you, so get ready to drool over the wonderful things I'm about to show you. Today's post is about a store called Akimbo, that is located in the heart of Copenhagen's highstreet area, thus making it easy to find if you know it's there. It's inventory is a mix og new and vintage, jewelry, decor, toys, trinkets, clothes and more. Akimbo is basically a treasure chest of pretty things that can doll up any room and has a definite Parisian flavor to it that I just adore. Any visitor to Copenhagen should add this shop to their must-visit list, and stop by for a chat with the store's lovely owner, Lis.

I love these little pups! They're definitely on my wishlist!

Wonderful Copenhagen: Décor

Today I'm very exited to share another of Copenhagen's hidden gems with you, and this one is a gem indeed. It might even be a diamond if you're a vintage fan like me. Décor is the best vintage shop in Copenhagen in my opinion, and I've been to quite a few. I only recently discovered it thanks to a tip from a friend at work, who took me there a few weeks ago. I was blown away when I entered the shop and beheld the treasures surrounding me in all their glory (yes, that's really how I felt in that moment!). They have everything from clothes, jewelry, handbags, and decor items. I'm currently in love with quite a few things there that are on my birthday wishlist. I bought the loveliest vintage 1930's top that I'll share with you soon. Did I mention that much of the inventory dates back several centuries? I hope you'll take time to visit this place if you're in Copenhagen and need a break from highstreet shopping and want to see something quite unique. For now enjoy these pictures that I snapped for you!

What made my day...

I bought this today! Isn't it amazing? I love it and I can't wait for it to get here. It's a beautiful babyblue mahogany cabinet. I'm going to fill it with beautiful things and love it forever.

Forum Flea Market

Last weekend I went to the Forum Copenhagen Winter Flea-and Antique Market with my mom and grandmother. We've been going for years and it's become something of a tradition. The flea market is indoors and offers plenty of interesting stalls with beautiful items such as clothes, jewelry and decor. This time I was lucky enough to find some great pieces that I'll share with you in a moment. I also bought some yummy homemade organic carrot cake. The flea market is maybe 4-6 times a year and there's always something different to discover there. I hope you'll visit if you're ever in Copenhagen or if you live here already but haven't tried it before. Luckily I had my iPhone with me so I took some pictures to share with you.

I bought a beautiful pair of Russian worn child's ballet slippers, some mixed vintage jewelry and a very cute figurine. All vintage and low priced. I'm very happy with my finds, especially the slippers.
