All Saints London

Last week I went to London for the first time and one of the shops I kept going into was All Saints. I don't like the name much, but the fashion is unbelievable. It's rough, tough, punk cowgirl with amazing details. The heels on their boots are hammered in with nails. I love details like that. Their shoes are generally pretty fabulous and seem very authentic and I keept trying them on even though my feet were sore from walking around the city. I wanted to buy the whole store, but I still have to save up for my US trip so it wasn't the time for spending. I am however adding some of their lovely things to my evergrowing wishlist. They have a webshop and ship internationally so it should be no problem getting my hands on some of these things.

These are some of my personal favorites:

What if the aliens are already here?

♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ Alex Gardner - I'm Not Mad ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪

Lately I haven't made any graphics at all or done anything creative that wasn't work related. I've been in a rut. So this weekend I decided I wanted that to change. So, my boyfriend will start giving me practise assignments to get me back on the horse. It's just quick challenges but hopefully it will get me motivated. Today's quick challenge was to make a typographic sci-fi poster that said "What if the aliens are already here?". I decided to do something retro looking with lots of colors and fun fonts. My result is below.

Back from London!

I just came back from London last night and I had an amazing trip and can't wait to write all about it. I'm still getting posts ready about Paris and now I have to add London to the mix. It will take forever to get it all sorted and I'm going to Las Vegas and New York soon, which will only add to my pile of photos that need to be processed. How do other bloggers do it? I need an assistant!

Antique Market Porte de Clignancourt in Paris

This was my first time at the wonderful flea/antique market at Porte de Clignancourt. I was very discouraged at first as I was surrounded by stalls full of modern designer knock-offs and cheap souvenirs. Thankfully it turned out the antique part of the market was further down the street. It fully lived up to my hopes and expectations and I had such a wonderful time there. I hadn't brought a lot of money so I didn't really buy anything despite the plethora of wonderful vintage parisian accessories, clothes, furniture, and knick knacks. I did however take lots of pictures.

The market area is made up of intertwining paths full of stalls and shops that were covered in blossoming purple flowers. People were very nice but most didn't want me to take pictures of their goods. Some however were very nice about it. I found several things that I really wanted and I could have kicked myself for not bringing enough cash.

In love with Manoush

When I was in Paris in May I came across the French fashion label Manoush in Galeries Lafayette and fell totally in love. Their collections are so fun, colorful, and pays attention to detail. All the fabrics and accents are gorgous, so I really hope they'll eventually open a store in Copenhagen so I can sample their fantastic pieces. It's hard to describe how truely amazing I find Manoush, so go see for yourself on their website.
